Our developers have been working very hard and we have some exciting new developments that are now live on Smart VLE. Please familiarise yourself with these updates.
When creating a user in SmartVLE, the email becomes the username for that user.
It is now possible for you to edit the username.
To edit another user’s username
When logged into SmartVLE as an author, go to the User Management page and filter the users to find the one that you want to edit.
Click on the green “Edit User” button for that user.
There is now a “Change Username” option on the User screen.
If you click this a new row will appear in which you can enter the new username for this user. This must be in email format.
Then click one of the save options to save your changes.
Please note: changing the username does not edit the email address for the user. If the user’s email address has changed and you are changing the username to reflect this, you must change both the username field and the email field to change the email address that any email notifications are sent to.
To edit your own username
When logged in as an author, click your profile button in the top right-hand corner of the screen, then choose the “Change Username” button.
A new line will open under the client details called “New Username”. Enter your preferred new username in this field. The username must be in email format and will not alter the email address that your notifications are sent to.
In the next release our developers will be creating a new question type.
